CARERS NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY

We ran a survey from October to December 2019 to collect parent carers’ knowledge and experiences of Carer’s Needs Assessments in Swansea. You can see the results and read a full copy of our report by clicking below:

ADDITIONAL NEEDS TRANSFORMATION

We are working alongside the Local Authority’s Education Department and Social Services, Health and Head Teachers on the implementation of the new Additional Learning Needs legislation.

We want to ensure the needs of parent carers are considered at every step of the implementation journey, and beyond.

The Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act makes provision for a new statutory framework for supporting children and young people with additional learning needs (ALN)
